East Valley Bank Celebrating 5th Anniversary

CHANDLER – July 8, 2004 –Gerry Smith, president of East Valley Bank, is pleased to announce that the bank will be celebrating its fifth anniversary with a weeklong open house from July 12-16.

The anniversary celebration will have a Hawaiian theme. Refreshments will be served to customers, along with giveaways and an opportunity to win a portable DVD player.

Smith said he is proud to celebrate this milestone anniversary with the community. “East Valley Bank is the only bank headquartered in Chandler and it is truly a community bank,” he said. “We have a local Board of Directors, and a staff of 16 team members with combined financial services

experience of over 250 years, the majority in community banking environments. We are the decision makers and have very little turnover because our employees are empowered and working in an organization where their input matters. We treat every client – who we know by name – with care and respect.”

Among the bank’s achievements over the last five years has been to be ranked among the top 10 community banks in Arizona three years in a row (2002-04) by Ranking Arizona, which each year conducts the largest business opinion poll in the state. The bank has also doubled the size of its staff and expanded its presence throughout the rapidly growing East Valley.

“We are the community bank alternative in the East Valley,” said Smith. “We specialize in serving our clients by offering customized banking solutions to meet their specific needs.”

The officers and staff at East Valley Bank are heavily involved in a large variety of sponsorships, Chamber of Commerce and other community events. They serve on boards for various community organizations, including Junior Achievement and East Valley Partnership. “Casual for a Cause” is held every Friday at the bank when employees can pay money to dress casual with proceeds benefiting local charities.
