Staci Charles Joins East Valley Bank as Senior Vice President/Creative Banking Solutions

CHANDLER – Aug. 08, 2006 – Staci L. Charles has joined East Valley Bank as senior vice president, Creative Banking Solutions. In position, Charles is responsible for bank's strategic planning, customer relations, marketing, training and relationship banking programs. She joins the bank's executive management team and also oversees these efforts for East Valley Bank's Sister bank, Mesa Bank in Mesa.

“Staci brings a level of industry and market knowledge that leverages and expands our marketing efforts,” said Neil Barna, president and CEO. “Staci’s understanding of the local markets and business climate makes her a strong complement to our management team.”

Charles has a comprehensive background in marketing, banking and sales management. Most recently she was director of marketing for Capitol Bancorp, a national community bank development company where her responsibilities included working with a network of community banks to help each bank develop and implement strategic marketing plans. She also managed customer events.

Charles began her banking career with Bank of America where she held positions of increasing responsibility in retail banking, business development and marketing. Other professional experience includes work with an Internet development company.

Charles holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Marketing from Arizona State University. She worked with the Camp CEO organization for a number of years, coaching teen girls on personal and career development with the goal of showing them how they can make a difference as a future leader. Charles is also a member of the Professional Disc Golf Association and is active locally with the Arizona Disc Golf Club.
