East Valley Bank Announces Officer Promotions

CHANDLER – Feb. 23, 2007 -- Sandra Zazula and Staci Charles have each been promoted to Executive Vice President at East Valley Bank. Zazula was previously senior vice president/bank operations, while Charles was senior vice president/creative banking solutions.

Zazula has 20 years in banking. She is currently head of bank operations for East Valley Bank and for its affiliated bank, Mesa Bank, which she joined seven years ago. She is also secretary, BSA and co-compliance and security officer for both banks. In the community, she has volunteered with the Mesa United Way and the Mesa YMCA Strong Kids Campaign.

Charles, who has worked in the banking industry for more than 20 years, joined the bank at the start of 2006. Previously, she was director of marketing for Capitol Bancorp, a national community bank development company. She has a master's and bachelor's degree in marketing from Arizona State University. In the community, she has been involved with Camp CEO and worked with Junior Achievement of Arizona on the Capitol Bancorp 5K for JA in Arizona. In 2006, she worked with the Mesa YMCA Strong Kids Campaign and the Challenged Athletes Foundation.
